Carbo-Load Dinner

On Thursday, September 24, 2009, the Napa Valley Wine Train welcomed 100 of Cope Family Center's guests to enjoy a gourmet pasta dinner and preview the race route for the Napa River Rock & Stroll taking place two days later. Guests boarded a private train heading south from the Wine Train's Culinary Arts Center for sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres, then returned to the Culinary Arts Center to dine at tables named for classic rock bands. Emcee Sean Dempsey, a Cope Board Member, introduced one of Cope's client families, presented an informational video, and served as auctioneer for a small but select live auction. In honor of the Wine Train's 20th anniversary, and as thanks for sponsoring and hosting the dinner, Cope presented Wine Train president Greg McMannis with a surprise cake.
