Baby Steps

This educational support group for parents of newborns through one year olds explores the topics of feeding, sleeping, development and health.   Mothers are encouraged to bring babies along to class.  Patti Brown ~ group facilitator

  July 12th  – Sept. 6th        Ages 0–6 months ~ Wednesday mornings    10:30–11:30 AM

  July 13th – Sept. 7th         Ages 7-12 months ~ Thursday mornings        10:30-11:30 AM                            

Terrific Toddlers

This educational support group for parents of children ages 1 through 3 years helps parents navigate the tricky terrain of toddler hood.  Topics include discipline, potty training, sleeping, feeding and power struggles.  Patti Brown ~ group facilitator

Positive Discipline *

Parents will learn the basic goals of misbehavior. Parents will also learn to help their children achieve self-discipline, responsibility, self-esteem and problem solving skills.  Open to parents with children of all ages.

Mother’s Group (Spanish)

This group gives mothers a place to meet and connect with other mothers.  Guest Speakers, Special Topics, & Craft Projects will be offered.  Marti Brennan ~ group facilitator    11:00 – 12:30 PM ~ 4th Friday of each month  *** June, July & Aug. meets at Fuller Park on Jefferson St. ***

 Ages & Stages

 Ages & Stages is a fun, interactive, one on one activity to help parents determine if their child’s development is age appropriate. Available for parents & children,  from 4 months to 5 years old.  (English & Spanish)    Call for an appointment

Drop In-Childcare*

Parents can relax or get work done in Cope Family Center’s comfortable community room. Children are cared for, in our childcare room, by our on staff childcare provider. Parents must stay on site.  Open to the community.

 Monday mornings 10:00-12 noon

Kid’s Turn

This is an educational program for children ages 4-14 years & their parents who are going through a divorce or separation.

Fall class dates to be announced                                           evenings 6:30-8:00PM (sliding scale fee)

Cooperative Co-Parenting*

In this five week workshop, parents will learn family mediation tactics. Topics include: Conflicts with Co-Parenting, Elements of Successful Parenting Plans, Custody Wars & the Welfare of Children and Voices of Children from Divorce.

TRIBE-Guiding Good Choices *

A series of fun, educational workshops for parents of children ages 9-14 years to help improve family management skills and reduce the likelihood of substance abuse and problem behaviors in adolescence.

Money Smart *

A financial literacy class designed to start at the basics & build on your knowledge though a 5 week series of workshops. Topics include: Intro. To Banking, Barrowing Basics, Choosing & keeping a Checking Account & How to Make a Credit Card Work For You & much more!
