Why Volunteer with Cope? | Meet Our Volunteers | Opportunities | ApplicationVolunteermatch.org

What would motivate you to become a volunteer? It's important to us that you think about what you want from the experience. Some ideas:

  • To gain insight into community problems & resources
  • To spend quality time with family members by volunteering together
  • To make connections in the community
  • To get out of the house
  • To make new friends
  • To gain new skills
  • To pay back
  • To feel useful
  • To have fun
  • To try out a new career
  • To meet a challenge
  • To support families in need
  • To be in charge of something
  • To be part of a group or a team
  • To help build a strong community

Here at Cope we've invested in a Talent Management Program to leverage the talents of volunteers in order to more effectively meet the needs in our community. As a volunteer, you will be an integral part of our team.

We promise to do our best to:

  • Find meaningful work for you, appropriate to your skills, interests, and available time
  • Provide the training you need to complete assignments
  • Be welcoming and include you in social functions at Cope
  • Include you in any decision-making process that may affect your volunteer service
  • Give you feedback and openly communicate with you
  • Show that we appreciate your hard work and what you bring to the team
  • Provide you with a safe and friendly work environment
