Help Plan a Family Connection Event

Help Plan a Family Connection Event

Monthly Family Connection Events provide families with the opportunity to build relationships with other families and participate in activities to help their child’s development. Help plan one of these events in coordination with a Cope staff member.

Frequency: Ongoing opportunity

Schedule: Planning typically takes a month and can be done on a flexible schedule. Check ins with staff would happen during regular business hours, and events are often on weekends or evenings.

Skills Needed: Bilingual preferred but not required. Event organization and planning skills are ideal, with a strong attention to detail. An interest in child development or family services is recommended. Tasks may include researching activities, securing and preparing materials, event set up and tear down, etc.

Support Provided to Volunteers: Volunteers will work directly with a Cope staff member throughout planning process and at the event.

*Volunteers will need to sign a confidentiality agreement and have a background check (standard for most volunteer opportunities).
