Cope’s December 2021 Newsletter

Hello Cope Supporters!

The busy year end season is upon us and it's hard to believe how quickly this year has gone by. At Cope we are seeing an increase in the number of families reaching out for resources and guidance. We are also seeing an increase in the number of people who want to support children and families ❤️

Thank you for all the support you have given to us this past year. Everyone at Cope wishes you a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year!

Gratefully,
Michele

Help Give Children Brighter Futures

Since the pandemic struck in March of 2020, we seen an increase in the number of families reaching out for resources and guidance to support their families. Even now that our community has begun to adjust to our new normal, many families are still struggling to overcome the repercussions of the pandemic.

To help meet their urgent needs, we launched a campaign to Help Give Children Brighter Futures and we are trying to raise $60,000 by the end of the year. So far $19,469 has been raised by 55 generous donors. If you are able to make a donation to help us reach our goal and help more families, please make a gift today.

Holiday Family Social

Last weekend we hosted a holiday-themed family social for our home visiting families. Together parents decorated cookies with their children and did other festive crafts while connecting with other families and making memories.

Normally we host a big holiday celebration at Cope for all the families we've worked with throughout the year, but we weren't able to host one last year or this year because of the pandemic. We look forward to when we'll be able to have large gatherings of our families, but until then we appreciate the opportunity to create these special moments virtually with families. Here are a few snap shots for the event.

Winter Parenting Classes Enrolling Now

We are currently enrolling for our Winter session of virtual parenting classes. Every parent faces challenges when raising children and these classes are meant to give parents new tools and skills to help manage while building understanding of their child's behavior. Our classes are always free of charge and offered in English and Spanish.

There are general classes for parents of children 2-12 and for parents of teens that are multiple weeks. There are also one-time classes on specific issues like setting bedtime routines, dealing with misbehavior and managing teenagers emotions. Learn more about the classes, spread the word and sign up today!
