Cope's August 2023 Newsletter

HELLO!

It's officially back to school season! While this can be an exciting time, it can also be stressful for many families. Buying school supplies, managing pick-ups and drop-offs, and working around school schedules and extracurriculars can be overwhelming for many parents and caregivers. Your child might be nervous about the new school year, too, and may feel anxious about getting good grades or making new friends.

We've complied some helpful tips and included the information about our upcoming parenting classes, which you can find below. Hope you enjoy the resources and the updates from Cope, and wishing you and your family a happy rest of the summer!

Warmly,
Michele

Be Bubbly Be Generous Campaign with Cope

We are excited to share that Be Bubbly has chosen to partner with Cope to be their featured nonprofit partner for the summer (July-September) as part of their Be Generous Campaign! Ways you can join in and show your support:

  • Now through September 1st, $1 for every bottle of Blue Labeled Domaine Carneros Ultra Brut purchased at Be Bubbly will be donated to Cope Family Center. For each dollar, Domaine Carneros will also make a $1 match.

  • Purchase a Be Generous t-shirt. For every shirt sold, Be Bubbly will donate $5 to Cope, and 707 Embroidery will make a $5 match.

  • Attend Be Bubbly's Sip & Serve event benefitting Cope. Cope, Domaine Carneros, and supporters will join Be Bubbly on August 24th to enjoy Domaine Carneros bubbles and raise funds in support of Cope!

Opportunity to Help Children and Families

Right now it is a scary time to be a kid. Children are growing up with greater threats to their futures than ever before: climate change, international wars, mass shootings, mental health crisis and more. It can be scary and hard to navigate without support.

As adults, it is our job to protect children. We all have a role in building a strong and supportive community for children, which is why we launched a fundraising campaign this summer to help parents better support their children through challenging times.

If you’re looking for a way to help children and families in our community, please consider donating so that families have access to the support they need.

Thank You to Our Business Partners!

Part of what makes this community so special is how community members, businesses and organizations all come together to build a strong and resilient community for children and families. We want to recognize the generous support of Bank of Marin for helping further Cope's mission of empowering parents, nurturing children and strengthening our community. We couldn’t do this work without you!

Another way to support families:

Help us host families for a Story & Craft Time event on September 14th! Sign up to donate snacks of supplies to drop off before September 12th.
